How to play Tidefold
1. Tilt the whole board
Use the direction buttons, arrow keys, W A S D or swipe on the board. All tiles slide as far as they can toward that edge.
2. Combine equal values
When two equal tiles meet, they become one tile with double the value. A tile merges only once per tilt. A row of 2, 2, 2, 2 becomes 4, 4 when tilted left. Your score increases by the values of newly merged tiles.
3. Make room for the next tile
A new 2 or 4 enters an empty cell after a move that changes the board. A move that changes nothing creates no new tile. Each challenge uses a fixed sequence, so undoing and repeating the same move restores the same result.
4. Reach the target
The eight targets range from 32 to 256. Reaching the target wins the challenge. A board with no available slide or merge loses. Undo remains available after either result. Hints suggest a legal move that favors space and larger tiles; they do not guarantee a win.
Controls and progress
U undoes the last tilt and H suggests a direction. Restart replaces only the selected challenge. Progress saves in this browser; private browsing or cleared site data can remove it.
